Team Hutt FIS Program
This program is geared for the competitive skier with a focus on competition development. Program accepts racers that have participated in a Racing Development Program in the previous ski season. This program includes an expansion of skills in all disciplines of ski racing and training, psychological development, fitness development, and nutrition guidelines.
FIS Athletes will need to get a FIS License and compete in selected FIS races with a coaches’ discretion. FIS Races and structure provide an even field on which athletes can compare and achieve on a world scale. It provides healthy competition and a professional atmosphere where athletes can develop and achieve their goals and aspirations. This is an important step in achieving national recognition or acceptance to NZ National Ski Racing Programs.
The program includes up to five days per week training or racing which will be scheduled by the program director, includes selected all races at Mt Hutt, and selected FIS races (subject to number of athletes). Covers all coaches expenses for the selected races that the program will attend. Excludes race entry fees and tickets.
We will be looking at working on a 5 day training roster per week, working around races. Training dates will be decided by the Program Director.
Team Hutt accepts athletes from outside of the Canterbury region (domestic & overseas) on a case by case and prearranged basis.
All travel & transport arrangements are at the athletes responsibility.
Additional training is available by arrangement with Program Director at a cost of $125pp/day for Team Hutt members, subject to numbers and availability.
We encourage all parents to take out their own insurance for unforeseen circumstances. We DO NOT provide refunds for the program. This includes, but not limited to, sickness, injury, weather, or family issues.
All programs are based on age, but athletes may be grouped based on individual ability and groups may be paired together based on numbers.
